"Early in my research, I found almost two hundred references to oils in the Bible, such as frankincense, myrrh, rosemary, cinnamon, spikenard, hyssop, etc. I began to ask:
"My research through the Department of Antiquities at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at Cairo University in Egypt led me to discover that during the time of Christ, frankincense was one of the most prized commodities in the world because of its healing properties and its use in spiritual rituals. It was more precious than gold and was used as a means of trade by wealthy merchants. Thus, it is easy to understand why the Magi would bring these precious oils to the Christ Child."

"While visiting the Temple of Isis on the Isle of Philae, I found on the walls the hieroglyphics of the three-day ritual they called 'the cleansing of the flesh and the blood.' This ritual depicted the use of essential oils for the release of emotional trauma. With the help of the Egyptologists at Cairo University, we worked to translate and learn about the oils. I have done much research to determine how these oils were used and have created an application for home use." - D. Gary Young, N.D.
