Our Creator has given us the sun, the soil, the miracle of life, and our inquiring minds. We have only just begun to discover the healing powers within the complex world of the plant kingdom.

Organic Farms

   Young Living Essential Oils has farms in St. Maries, Idaho; and in Whispering Springs near Mona, Utah; as well as a joint venture farm in Sedaron, France. Other farms will be added soon. The soil at our farms must be rich with nutrients, trace minerals, and free from applied chemicals. We use no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers, and all plants are grown organically according to Dr. Young's rigorous standards.

   Our farms are models of organic chemical-free farming practices.

Plants

   Seeds and plant starts are carefully selected and nutured to produce the highest quality essential oils which contain the natural chemical properties that are so important to our health. Young Living oils are not produced for the commercial food or perfume industries.

   Plant starts are carefully grown and nurtured in our greenhouses.

Planting

   Planting takes place in the spring and fall just as the soil reaches the ideal temperature. Crews must work around the clock to meet the schedule the weather dictates. We put millions of plant starts in the ground to meet our annual production goals.

  This was our first specialized planting machine, designed and built by Gary Young and his uncle Jack L. L. Young.

Harvest

Fields must be harvested at precisely the right time. It is critical that plants be cut at the right time of day and when the plant is at the proper growth stage to produce the highest quality oil.
