The Difference between Essential Oils and Pure Essential Oils:

Though essential oils date back to ancient times, they have

become over the centuries a truly lost art. The only thing people have

ever valued as highly as gold (money) is their health. Thousands of

years ago, essential oils were considered more valuable than gold,

because they were effective against disease. Ancient people were aware

from experience that the essential oils were more powerful than dried

or fresh herbs.

What are essential oils? They are the resin or life force of

plants. In fact, an analogy would be the oil of the plant is

comparable to the blood in humans. Both carry oxygen and

nutrients fot the life force function. Essential oils are the

subtle, aromatic, and volatile liquids extracted from the flowers,

seeds, leaves, stems, bark and roots of herbs, bushes, shrubs, and

trees through distillation.

However, in order for essential oils to possess therapeutic

qulaities, they must be pure and unadulterated. Unfortunately,

the vast amount of oils marketed in our country under the title

of aromatherapy possess virtually no healing properties. The

majority of the essential oils marketed today are fourth and

fifth quality oils. Even higher grade oils may not have been

processed properly. Incorrect processing or contact with any

chemical or impurity can change the fragrance, constituents,

balance, and PH of the oil...changes which will inhibit their

therapeutic nature. Often, "essential Oils" have been

adulterated with solvents such as propylene glycol, acetate or

alcohol. Some imported oils have been found to contain

radioactive isotopes. Most of the "essential oils" in stores

today may be useful as perfume or for aromatic purposes, but

have little or no therapeutic value.

The reason for the wholesale dilution and adulteration of

essential oils today is based on the profiteering aspect. By

employing processing techniques which include high temperature

and pressure distillation for short periods of time (15 to 30

minutes), marketers can produce much higher amounts to satisfy

the growing demands for aromatherapy. In addition, chemicals are

added which adulterate the purity but retain the fragrance,

which is critical for large scale marketing.

For essential oils to be considered "pure" they must follow

these strict guidelines:

1. Grown organically in ideal climates at a minimum of 3,000

feet above sea level.

2. Allowed to ripen from two to five days after harvest to

reach the full maturity of the constituents or properties

within the plant.

3. Distilled at very low pressures and temperatures.

4. Distilled for precise periods of time based on the

specifications of each oil.

In order to adhere to this stringent criteria, the overall cost

of processing increases but quality is not sacrificed.

Benefits From Using Pure Essential Oils:

There is litle argument among health authorities that our

immune systems are under serious attack in recent decades. Toxins

invade our bodies through our air, water, and food as a by-product of

"living better through chemistry," coined in the fifties. Many of the

xenobiotics such as DDT (banned in the U.S. years ago but entering our

country in record numbers through other countries compliments of

increased international trade) are extremely toxic and

non-biodegradable to our systems. As a result, it has become difficult

for whatever nutrients we consume to actually assimilate into our

bodies at the cellular level. When tha occurs, our immune systems

become compromised and we often become innocent victims to the very

lifestyle we helped to create. When pure essential oils are added in

the form of true aromatherapy, it has been scientifically documented

to help raise our frequency levels. The higher our frequency levels,

the stronger and more resistant our immune systems become.

Additionally, pure oils have been proven to increase oxygen to the

body at a rate of 21%. herbs and vitamins give us about 6 - 7%

increase in oxygen, while mineral compounds and hydrogen peroxide

provide a 9% increase. Disease cannot live in the presence of oxygen.

Oxygen is the key...bringing oxygen to the body creates a reduction in

pain and beginning of regeneration. As the oils help deliver oxygen

into all areas of the body, this allows our bodies to utilize them to

permeate our cell walls fro better absorption of nutrients. The

magnificent body always heals itself, with pure oils acting as

facilitators in the regeneration process.

Another outstanding feature of pure essential oils is their

scientifically documented anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and

anti-fungal effect. they are a perfect answer to an all natural

air purification system. By diffusing the pure oils into the

atmosphere by means of an electrically driven diffuser, it is

possible to cover up to a 2,000 sq. ft. dwelling. The oils

through the diffuser delivers negative ion particles, which

delivers ozone into the atmosphere in addition to neutralizing

the microbes present inside your dwelling. Index quality levels

have measured the air inside buildings and homes to be of worse

quality than our heavily polluted outdoor air. Between dust mites and

the myraid of commercial products utilizing chemicals, the opportunity

to cleanse our interior environment is this all natural way is

revolutionary. It remains one of the best kept secrets for protecting

ourselves and loved ones from the ever present threat of an

increasingly polluted interior environment. Other supplemental health

products such as vitamins, minerals or herbs cannot provide comparible

interior environmental protection.

Another unique benefit and application for pure essential oils is

their capacity to effect an amotional healing or cleansing. How is

this possible? Through the inhalation of the pure oils the fragrance

enters the olfactory membrane inside the nose which contains 800

million nerve endings for processing and detecting odors. The nerve

fibers of the olfactory bulb extends back to the mid-brain, which is

the limbic system of the brain. The impulses carried to the

limbicsystem pass to our pituitary and pineal glands and then to the

amygdala, which is the memory center for fear and trauma. It was in

1989 at New York Medical Center where Dr. Joseph Ledoux discovered the amygdala plays a major role in storing and releasing emotional trauma.

And only odor or fragrance stimulation has a profound effect in

triggering a response through this gland.

The limbic system is quite unique in its function and we find

foods are greatly enhanced when the fragrance is experienced

first. Moods are created and changed by different fragrances.

Sexual energy is enhanced or decreased by certain odors.

Clinical psychologists and holistic practitioners are only

beginning to understand the delicate balance between our mind,

body and spirit. Physical healing is often blocked because of a

failure to cleanse emotionally. Six thousands years ago, it was

discovered Egyptians used essential oils to cleanse what they

refer to as "evil deities." In our present age, we refer to these evil

deities as negative emotions. Fear and trauma play an ever increasing

role in blocking our progress and personal growth. With purpose,

knowledge and training, many natural health practitioners are

beginning to utilize pure essential oils as facilitators fro emotional

cleansing and subsequent healing.

In summary, vibrational frequency healing will play a critical role

as we head to the next century. Pure essential oils will play an

integral part in this movement based on their extremely high energies.

Unfortunately, because of the high profits gained in utilizing less

expensive and adulterated procedures, many manufacturers and

processors of these oils are not concerned with taking time and effort

to supply quality oils to a predominately marketing concious industry.

This in turn, translates to a gullible, uneducated consumer.

2. Product Review: VALOR (Top)

Valor is a beautiful oil blend composed of Rosewood, Tanactin, and

Frankincense, which has many applications. It's most notable attribute

is it's ability to balance and align the physical body.

Many chirpractors have found by rubbing Valor on the feet,

then holding the feet for 3 to 10 minutes with their arms crossed

(right hand holding left foot, left hand holding right foot), creates

an electrical (frequency) exchange in the body that may help

facilitate skeletal system alignment. For this reason, Valor is often

referred to as "A chiropractor in a bottle." Valor is also one of

several oils used in a chiropractic procedure known as "Rain Drop

Therapy."

Rain Drop Therapy is a method of applying the oils on various

locations of the body to bring it structural and electrical

alignment. It has typically been used to help straighten spinal

curvatures and to create an antiviral environment or to fight

against viruses. It has been discovered that many viruses lie

dormant along the spine, including the virus that causes

scoliosis.

The relief one gets from using Valor for lower back pain is

surprising to first time users. One morning I awoke with lower

back pain, having sat in a twisted position the night before

watching a movie on TV. Without the benefit of having immediate
